But at this point, I have neither the time nor the brainpower to finish it off. Just finished reading Lee Smolin's The Trouble with Physics: The Rise of String Theory, the Fall of a Science, and What Comes Next. Intellectuals that can be seen today spread out throughout other countries, helping those countries develop in academics, sports, law, engineering, literature and fields as technical as fetal research and nuclear physics. Something for my (exponentially growing) “light reading” list. Since 2001 he has been a founding faculty member at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Toronto. This one of those very rare books, books that make you truly smarter and more knowledgeable that when you started. I learned a lot from this book. The primary reason for particle physics is to test the soundness of the deepest laws of physics. This is the trouble with Nigerians; we are quick to remove ourselves when we feel ashamed, insulted and so we disassociate ourselves by removing whatever the offending person and revert behind tribal lines, religious lines and patriotic lines. A realistic solution still hasn't surfaced. This is the problem that confronted public libraries as eBooks first started to emerge.
